I am thirty-three and have been married to my wonderful wife, Melissa McDonald Ellis for seven years. We live and serve in Borden, Indiana at the Borden Church of Christ.  We have a son named Owen who is seven years old and a precious four year old daughter named Charley. We served as Youth and Family ministers for four years before this fall when I transitioned in to the pulpit as the preaching minister and Melissa transitioned into our Children's Ministry position.  I graduated from Harding University in 2004 with a B.A. in Psychology. I worked in Honduras as an intern with Torch Missions in Tegucigalpa after graduating. I also worked as a youth ministry intern with Mision del Caribe in Trujillo, Honduras, Saturn Road Church of Christ in Dallas, Texas and East Gwinnett Church of Christ in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
I enjoy spending time in the outdoors, whitewater kayaking, golf, soccer, but especially playing with my kids. When I am at home I like to play guitar with Owen and Charley. They love music. I have worked with students all my life.  I grew up in a youth minster's home, which helped define who I am and how I view the importance of showing and being Christ to todays' youth.

Melissa is thirty-three. She is a great mom and wife.  Her parents are Charles and Janet McDonald and her brother is Kevin McDonald. She taught for three years at Campus Kids world at Campus Church of Christ and now stays home with our children.  She enjoys reading, camping, pedicures and being a mom. (Owen and Charley are a full time job.) Her favorite part about serving in ministry is seeing young girls grow in their faith and the passion that they get when they start to see Him working in their lives.

Our Family
Owen is seven and is very outgoing.  Not much can slow him down. He loves being outside, making messes, music, animals and reading books. He has an amazing imagination and loves to tell stories. He loves to learn. He is all boy.
Charley is four and she is our little firecracker. She is independent and loves to try to accomplish anything her big brother can do. She loves to take care of others and she always is a helper.
